The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Alberta is inviting applications for admission to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program (CAPS RP), with a start date of July 1, 2017. The Program is fully accredited with the Royal College, and consistent with their requirements, it is two years in duration. The first year of the CAPS RP is also the PGY 5 year of the general psychiatry residency. During the PGY 5 year CAPS resident rotations and academic curricula are all related to child and adolescent psychiatry. The second year of the CAPS RP builds on the clinical, academic and research skills and knowledge acquired during the first year of the Program, and helps Subspecialty residents prepare for transition to fully independent practice.
