The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Program (also known as the BScN-Collaborative Program) is primarily for high school graduates or those who have some postsecondary education, and is designed as a four year full-time program.Students gain hands-on experience every semester, and clinical placements throughout the program allow student to put theory and skills into practice in various hospital and community settings. Upon successful completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree, students would be eligible to write the NCLEX-RN exam to become a Registered Nurse in Canada. The program is called "collaborative" because in addition to being offered at the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton, all four years can be taken at Red Deer College, Keyano College (Fort McMurray), or Grande Prairie Regional College.
