Earn your Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Food Science, Dietetics Specialization. With this degree, you can go on to practice as a Registered Dietitian (RD). You will gain both the knowledge and practical skills needed to practice as a Registered Dietitian or Registered Nutritionist.
This program is 4-years in length - you must complete some pre-professional study prior to admission. Please note: NU FS 100 is only available at the University of Alberta. Currently, there are no equivalents available at other institutions.
Admission to this program guarantees your Dietetic Internship, which is a requirement in order to become a Registered Dietitian.
This is a 50-person cohort program - you will have a specific course pattern, the same as all your classmates and you will not deviate from that pattern for your 4 years in the program. If you are granted transfer credit from previous study, it will NOT accelerate your degree progress.
