The Department of Medicine is committed to the success of Undergraduate Medical Education. The University of Alberta medical students were ranked #1 nationally on the medicine section of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part 1, (2007). In 2008, our medical students were ranked #2 nationally in Internal Medicine on the same exam. University of Alberta medical students have the highest marks in Canada for the Medical Council of Canada’s qualifying exam in 2011 and 2012.
