生态学专业的目标是为学生提供生态学领域坚实的科学背景，向他们介绍一些能够在职业生涯中使用的有用工具（例如统计学，抽样方法，地理信息系统），并让他们探索所学到的科学理论的应用方面。
该专业建立在一套核心必修课和选修课的基础上。因此，学生可以根据自己的兴趣和需要量身定制专业。我们在“淡水生物与保护和野生动物生物学”项目中发展了两个“方向”，适用于对这些领域非常感兴趣的学生。
The goal of the Ecology Program is to provide students with a solid scientific background in the field of ecology, to introduce them to some useful tools that they can use in their careers (e.g. statistics, sampling methodology, GIS) and to allow them to explore applied aspects of the scientific theory that they have learned.
The program is built on set of core required courses and a number of options. Hence, students can tailor their program to suit their interests and needs. We have developed two "streams" within the program, Freshwater Biology and Conservation and Wildlife Biology, for students with major interests in these areas.
