The Nuclear Medicine residency program is a seven year, combined training program which fulfils the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada training requirements for qualification in Diagnostic Radiology and in Nuclear Medicine. Residents graduate with full Royal College qualification in both specialties. In this program, we believe that the future of imaging is increasingly in the efficient combined use of structural and functional modalities together; in years to come, the ability to integrate these into hybrid imaging techniques will be indispensible and will evolve into the standard of care in many clinical areas. In addition to helping shape the future of clinical imaging practice, we have a strong emphasis on the academic activities which help comprise the specialty, including research and teaching.
